Upper East Side SHSAT Test Prep
SHSAT Test Prep
Why enroll your child in a SHSAT Test Prep program? With an average of 30,000 students taking the exam, and only around 5,000 spots available citywide, the test can be extremely competitive.
Our upper east side SHSAT test prep program is offered in one hour/week and two hours/week with affordable monthly payment plans.
We take an individualized approach, assessing our students at the beginning of the program to identify areas of study that require extra attention. Our program is taught individually, with a 3:1 maximum ratio.

What is the SHSAT?
The Specialized High School Admissions test, or SHSAT, is a timed multiple choice exam used as the only criteria to determine admission into New York City’s eight specialized high schools, including Staten Island Technical HS, Brooklyn Technical HS, and Stuyvesant HS. The exam is given in one 2.5 hour session.
The SHSAT Questions
The SHSAT is made up of two sections – verbal and math. The verbal section consists of verbal reasoning, reading comprehension, and logical analysis. The math section consists of arithmetic, algebra, probability, statistics, geometry, and trigonometry (trigonometry is on ninth grade test only).
Better Than Doing it Yourself
Giving your child a SHSAT prep program or course at home in Brooklyn/Staten Island isn’t the best solution. Your child is comfortable and might get distracted with activity at home. At our centers your child can remain focused. Our classrooms and more like the real test-taking environment, further preparing your child for the test.
